The 2008 Jamtopia Concert Photo Contest comes to a close at the end of September, so you've only got 30 days to enter your concert photos for a chance to win a Canon PowerShot SD750.

Meanwhile, the contest is jamming along. The number of entries has doubled again and there are now close to 200 great concert photos in the contest. Here are some of the latest entires that really capture the spirit of the competiton…

Those of you who frequent YouTube may have noticed that many of your favorite concert videos feature a small link below them that reads “watch in high quality.”

Well yesterday I made a small change in the way videos are being embedded so that now, wherever possible, Jamtopia's concert videos will be presented in high quality.

The difference is subtle at this small size, but you can compare the quality below…

It's the same Jamtopia you know and love, just a little more face-melting than before.

In the last two weeks, the number of entries to the 2008 Jamtopia Concert Photo Contest have doubled and there are now over 100 great concert photos including everything from local funk, punk and hardcore acts to international stadium headliners. Here are some of the latest entires…

Based on feedback from the concert photography community and invaluable advice from Pro-Imaging.org, I've decided to make some changes to the Official Rules for the 2008 Jamtopia Concert Photo Contest.

The changes not only open the contest to even more photographers, but also make the rules more favorable for entrants, clarifying and limiting how the submissions will be used, who can use them, and for how long. It's my hope that with these changes will come increased participation and with that an even better collection of great concert photos!

Jamtopia's directory of live music streams has been updated with more live music from the Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, and live concerts from NPR's All Things Considered. If you know of any other great concert streams you'd like to see added to the directory, please send an email.
