The 11 Most Resonant Concert Performances Of All Time

I recently came across a great post on Earvolution, where David Schultz wrote about what he believes are the “Eleven Most Resonant Live Concert Performances of all Time.”

A group of performances that had relevance beyond the notes that were played and resonated well beyond the time and place of their occurrence.
David Schultz

I liked David's post so much I figured it'd be cool to capture all the great concert videos he recommended so you can watch them right here on Jamtopia.

Here's his list. Just click a link to jump to the concert video…

doors at dinner key best of all time.

It’s Beatles not Beetles.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame blows.

It’s interesting how a voting member of the R & R Hall of Fame (see post above) can misspell “Beatles.” I usually don’t get too bent out of shape about grammar and spelling on these things but ... seriously?

On a related note, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke….

This list is pretty good. When you put “Top 10” and “concert performances” together, something is getting left out.

It Boggles - it simply Boggles!!  How do these list guys come up with such laughable choices.  I’m a current voting member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have to admit we don’t do any better.  If I had to put it down to a particular reason as to why - it would have to be ‘age’.  The older guys were actually there and here and can easily compare.  The younger ‘voters’ have no since of history and mostly know idea what rock and roll even is.  Of this particular list:  James Brown, The Beetles, Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan are givens.  However, my goodness guys and girls, the first three at least should be Elvis Presley all the way from the first time he played before a major audience 1954 to his historic “Comeback” special in 1968 and then to the 1971 Blue Hawaii
TV Special that drew the largest audience in all the history of the world.
